Graeme Swann joins us for CricketForce

28 March 2009

It’s almost here...

6 days to go! For those of you who haven’t signed up to take part there is still time to do so. A few hours of your time over the 3rd, 4th and or 5th April is all we need. For those of you who still need convincing what a great weekend it’s going to be we can now reveal that Graeme Swann will be attending on the morning of Sunday 5th April.

Graeme Swan made his Test debut against India in December 2008, and made an immediate impact dismissing Gautam Gambir with his third delivery and Rahul Dravid with his sixth to become only the second player in test history after Richard Johnson to take two wickets in his first over. More recently he has been the ray of sunshine in England’s gloomy West Indies tour, taking 19 wickets in the test series. There will be the chance for an autograph before he meets the juniors and gets involved with the planned activities of the day.

And don’t forget Former England Captain Mike Gatting will also be at the ground on Sunday 5th April getting stuck in and helping out on our planned projects. If you would like to get involved over the course of the weekend or you are a junior player who would like to take part in the coaching activities on Sunday 5th April please speak to Linda Norton on 01473 623563. We are the first club in Suffolk to be a NatWest CricketForce Showcase Club so take this opportunity to get involved and be part of the Ipswich Cricket Club legacy.

Let’s show other Suffolk Clubs what Ipswich Cricket Club is made of!
