Introduction Procedure
The club has developed a basic policy on the introduction of prospective player to meet its obligations to the individual and to ensure good practice for a club of our size and standing. Everyone is treated equally at Ipswich Cricket Club and the purpose of this introduction is to ensure that remains so.
Team selections are conducted formally, on Tuesday evenings by the selection committee which consists of all the team Captains. The meeting has an agenda, designed to meet the needs of our selection ethos. This process is applied consistently throughout the year.
To ensure that everyone is properly identified and considered for selection on this evening and also as a matter of courtesy, an informal introduction is undertaken by a committee member.
This may take the form of a brief tour (to the bar!) and an informal chat. An application form must be completed at this stage (to satisfy league rules and insurance cover). All you have to do then is enjoy yourself!
